Assistant to NMDLA Executive Director
Job Description: This is a contract position with variable hours, currently averaging 20 hours per month. Work is done remotely at the contractor’s home/office. 
 
Responsibilities include:
1.        Constant Contact notices to membership – minimum of 4 per month and may exceed 10 per month. Material for notices is provided and is usually brief but often requires 1-day turn around.
2.        Maintenance/updating of website – the website is hosted by Wild Apricot and does not require html. It has a public component, a pass-word protected membership component, and an additional pass-word protected administrative component which houses the contact and membership databases.  
a.       Enter membership data
b.      Enter new Continuing Legal Education (CLE) seminar information and work with the provider of on-line CLE seminars to list available courses on the website.
c.       Update listing of court cases.
d.      Maintain listings and registration forms for all NMDLA provided CLE seminars
3.       Using Publisher software, prepare the final layout of Defense News, the quarterly newsletter of NMDLA, which is posted to the website and averages 20 pages per issue. It is also printed for distribution to all judges in New Mexico and various other outlets.
4.       Create brochures for NMDLA sponsored CLE seminars and other special events such as the NMDLA Annual Meeting and Member Luncheons for posting on the website and mail distribution to membership. (Graphic arts capabilities required).
5.       Prepare mail-merge documents/letters for mass mailings to membership and other groups.
6.       Other duties as needed to support the Executive Director.
 
Requirements:
This job requires strong computer skills in MS Office software, management of a Wild Apricot website (this can be self taught from the instructions provided by Wild Apricot), and an artistic eye for brochure design and layout. The applicant must have his/her own computer equipment and work independently. The position requires self motivation and a detail-oriented mind-set. Good proof reading skills are a necessity. Start date – immediate.

Education & Events Coordinator @ Apartment Association of New Mexico
The Education & Events Coordinator is an employee of AANM and reports to the Executive Director.
 
Duties and responsibilities will include, but not be limited to:
·         Responsible for and promotes education programs and events for the association.
·         Works with AANM committees in developing events, seminars, education classes, programs and other association activities.
·         Is the staff liaison for the following committees:
o   Trade Show & Educational Conference
o   Tributes Awards / Holiday Dinner
o   Golf Tournament
o   Maintenance Mania
o   Development / Education
·         Oversees member account billings, especially as they relate to educational program and event registrations.
·         Backs-up, as needed, the Administrative Assistant in performing the A/P and A/R office functions.
·         Contributes to a climate within the association that attracts, retains and motivates member volunteers
·         Represents, promotes and markets the association to its members
·         Offers members assistance with their questions, problems and offers quality customer service
·         Performs such other duties as assigned by the Executive Director
